FAQ

What age clients do you work with?

SBSC specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, including individuals transitioning from school-based services into adulthood and those receiving adult services such as supported living or day programs.

Who provides services?

At this time, all services are provided directly by Madeline Gelmetti, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring high-quality, ethical, and individualized care.

Do you accept Regional Center funding?

Yes. Solroot Behavioral Services & Consultation is vendored through San Diego Regional Center to provide behavior consultation services for individuals ages 3 and older. All Regional Center–funded services must be authorized prior to the start of services, as Regional Center is the payer of last resort. Services for under 3 and/or direct services are not offered at this time to SDRC clients receiving traditional services.

Do you provide services through Regional Center’s Self-Determination Program (SDP)?

Yes, Solroot Behavioral Services & Consultation provides behavior intervention services for clients enrolled in the Self-Determination Program. Services must align with the client’s approved SDP spending plan for Code 364 Behavior Intervention Services and related behavior goals in the Individual Program Plan (IPP).

Do you work with any insurance companies?

No, Solroot Behavioral Services & Consultation does not contract with or accept payment from insurance providers. Services may be funded through private payment or, when eligible and authorized, through San Diego Regional Center, depending on the individual’s needs and service eligibility.

How do services get started?

We’re so happy you’re interested! Services begin with an introductory phone call or virtual meeting to connect, learn more about the individual, and discuss support needs and goals. An initial assessment then helps us better understand the individual’s strengths, needs, and everyday environment. From there, services are coordinated collaboratively with the client, family, and support team, with any required authorization obtained based on the funding source.

What areas do you serve?

Services are currently offered in Coastal North County San Diego County such as Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. Availability may vary based on location, service type, and funding source.
